The role involves looking after young adults up to the elderly with conditions such as physical and learning disabilities to complex needs etc. 

You will provide:

This is a very rewarding role and will require the evening and weekend work. You will, 

  • Have your own vehicle to be able to drive to client locations is an added advantage. Full training provided.

We require experienced Healthcare Support Workers who are drivers and have access to own car to work within our domiciliary care setting in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire. You will

Job description

  • As domiciliary care manager, you will lead by example and be involved in both office management and hands on care and support. You will be a team leader and oversee the delivery of a quality service.
  • Your main responsibilities will include overseeing the provision of high-quality care to clients in their own homes.
  • As with all domiciliary care manager roles, you will be required to share the “on call” rota.
  • take over the day to day running of the service.
  • provide leadership, oversee, monitor and supervise care staff in accordance with current practices, policy and procedures, standards, legislation, regulations under the direction of the Nominated Individual.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with the line manager for our service and liaise with our stakeholders.
  • be responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operations within the care setting, including recruiting and managing staff, managing budgets and ensuring that the quality of the services provided meets national care standards.
  • Liaise with the provider ensuring all necessary reports are sent timeously
  • Create and uphold an open, positive and inclusive management culture
  • Develop and communicate the strategic plans for PBS Care
  • Oversee the implementation of PBS Care policies and procedures and follow the guidelines as required by Care Quality Commission.
  • Evaluation of the service goals and quality objectives
  • The person will need to be confident, compassionate and a team player. need to have flexibility and good interpersonal skills and a passion for developing our team to go further.
  • provide PPE and documents when needed.
  • Reporting any issues to management team.
  • encouraging and inspiring staff to offer the highest standards of support.
  • carrying out same tasks as support worker when needed which include, assisting with activities of daily living and personal care.
  • assisting the service user with activities of daily living, and in so doing, will at all times observe and respect the service user’s dignity, privacy and independence.

 

Minimum Requirement

  • DBS (police clearance)
  • excellent written skills for writing reports. a passion for working with people and providing person-centred care. leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate others.
  • the capacity to work under pressure and to take a problem-solving approach to work.
  • Good communication skill, including listening, non-verbal and verbal communication.
  • Ability to adapt and address situations quickly
  • Ability to work in a team
